Pear, Apple and Raspberry Crisp

So I’m really excited about today’s post!

I’m guest posting for the first time over at my friend Kelly’s blog, Eat-Yourself-Skinny. She has the most fantastic blog loaded with absolutely delicious recipes…and they’re all guilt-free! Craving creamy macaroni and cheese?? Raspberry margaritas? Gooey cinnamon buns? Check out her recipes over at http://www.eat-yourself-skinny.com/ and check out my guest post recipe today, Pear, Apple, and Raspberry Crisp.

So I always forget how amazing fruit crisps are. Every time. Seriously. Have you had one lately??

Chocolate bars have totally brainwashed me. Actually its more like chocolate and peanut butter have teamed up to totally takeover my tastebuds and make me forget that any other category of dessert actually exists.

But not this weekend! I was thumbing through my new King Arthur Flour cookbook searching for something yummy to post and ran into an entire section on fruit crisps. A whole section! Chocolate had no chance. 25 pages of warm buttery streusel later I was off to the store to pick up my absolute favorite fruit crisp combo- Granny Smith Apple, Bartlett Pear, and juicy Raspberry… oo yumm……

O ya, and did I mention you can indulge guilt-free? Only problem was I indulged guilt-free for like 4 people so I think the whole low cal thing kinda cancels out.

But seriously, this crisp has the most delicious sweet and tart fruit flavors with this totally crumbly, buttery oat-pecan topping, all with half the fat and calories. The secret is having a great fruit combo- you don’t even need all that extra sugar when you have delicious ingredients.

So put down that snickers bar (put it down….!) and indulge guiltlessly in a warm and gooey fruit crisp!

For the recipe check out Kelly’s blog over at Eat-Yourself-Skinny!
