I’m doing my very first giveaway today for Panera Bread’s Eat Smarts Game and Contest.
They’ve been so nice and have sent me 4 $15.00 Gift Cards!
I am so excited to share the Panera love! I’ve been going to Panera for as long as I can remember…. umm.. You Pick Two – Broccoli Cheddar Soup and a Caesar Salad please?? …. ya that was my High School regular order.. post playing 4 sports at one time… I’m now addicted to their Chicken Cobb or I order a PBJ.. no joke. My favorite.
So what is Panera Eat Smarts?
Its a really fun new feature on the Panera Bread website that combines healthy tips, games, and challenges to help making eating more nutritiously at Panera and at home, a bit easier! You see why I love this giveaway??
You can create an account on the Eat Smarts homepage and begin playing a series of challenges in order to unlock new games and eventually enter to win a Trip to the Sandals Resort in Jamaica for Two! So the end prize is pretty nice but I swear the games are actually really fun! There’s one called “Spin-A-Meal” that lets you come up with different “You Pick Two” combos that keep calories in check and under 600 calories, makes ordering lunch sooo much easier :) But of course, my favorite is the “Culinary Class Challenge” that demos different Panera recipes!
As you all know, I don’t normally do a lot of giveaways, but I love how Panera is trying to promote healthy eating and nutrition at their restaurant and at home. We need more restaurants to jump on the bandwagon!

My favorite by far is my homemade chocolate peanut butter oatmeal protein bars! So cheap to make and gooey!

I love Panera as well, with my favorite healthy go-to being ‘turkey on sourdough’ (I think they start fixing it for me the moment I walk in the door….they’re fast!)
I absolutely LOVE Panera Bread – I love it so much that I work there during the summers!!! My favorites are the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich on whole grain bread, the Tomato Mozzarella Panini, & the Chicken & Wild Rice soup. Yum!

One of my favorite go to healthy meals is to wrap sandwich fillings in lettuce leaves and omit the bread all together. All the flavors are there and you don’t feel guilty for eating two huge pieces of bread!

I so love Panera–I worked across the street from one in St. Louis and my go-to healthy lunch was their chicken noodle soup with a roll. Sigh. No Paneras up here, but I sure would like one!

My favorite go to meal is a hearty sandwich on good bread with turkey, avocado, and tomatoes. Green monster smoothies for breakfast are also a must when I am trying to be healthy.

Giiiiiiiiiiiiiirl, you know I love Panera!! And you. This is like…..an epic combo.
Healthy go-to meals? Hmm…when I’m crunched for time and/or energy, I really love creamy avocado pasta (with whole wheat pasta, obvs). OR anything with avocado, let’s be real.
Umm.. so maybe we should just be going to Panera for our Foodie date seeing as every other option is failing us! Hahaha! Seriously, how is Feast closed??? It literally had to of closed within the past 10 days…
My favorite go-to at home are soups, the perfect healthy comfort food. When out on the run I always trust that I can stop by Panera for a healthy meal. I count the calories and order a You-Pick-Two sandwich and salad or soup and salad with a side of an apple under 400 calories. I get the Classic Salad with the Fat Free Poppyseed Dressing and I have the apple sliced to top the salad for some added sweet crunch.
Well, fiddle. I just have a dumb phone, so I can’t tweet. BUT, I will tell you that one of my favorite healthy/low cal dinners is my grilled chicken mango salad. The dressing is mango and rice wine vinegar with various fruits on the lettuce salad and a grilled chicken breast with a pepper/curry rub. Yum. Actually, it’s what is planned for Friday’s dinner. I love that you have the dietician on board. My husband and I have been using myfitnesspal.com to help us lose weight (the idea is to burn more calories than you take in). He’s lost 21 pounds, and I’ve lost 16! Woot! And, it’s all been about portion control, for the most part. It’s a way of life. Panera just about every Sunday after church is the way to go!

I actually went to Panera today after my sister and I went to her doctor’s appointment on the North Side. I ordered the You Pick 2 Combo with a Caesar sandwich and an Asian chicken salad. Not my best choice looking back on it…Too many flavors. It may not have been the healthiest thing too, but I felt pretty rushed by the ten people behind me waiting to order.
With all the choices that Panera has for a person to choose from, I will never forget when you ordered a peanut butter sandwich when we went in college. It looks like your tastes have become much more sophisticated since then. Good luck with the blog and I hope to see you soon.
haha! I will never ever forget that. Especially because do you remember how weirdly runny the peanut butter was? Like the oil had separated and no one had mixed it back in? And it came with a Go-Gurt.. like for a 5 year old. Best first date ever :)
Favorite healthy go to lunch- turkey or egg salad sandwich on wheat, pb choc chip lara bar, piece of fruit, carrots. OR a perfect healthy lunch at Panera would be a Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken Salad and a Low Fat Black Cherry or Mango smoothie :)
I love Asian cuisines, especially sushi…so healthy, but so expensive. As for Panera, I love their fuji apple chicken salad and their black bean soup! Thanks for the giveaway

Sad! Maybe its just a Midwest thing? Its one of those places I just assumed everyone had… oops. I’ll have to send you some :) They have the BEST cinnamon crunch bagels.
Oh I know, I did go to Panera’s when I was in Ohio. There are a lot of chains that just aren’t in NYC (like Walmart).
Walmart’s not in NYC?? Did not know that, I thought Walmart was taking over the world. I’m glad you guys are at least immune over there :) Well then at least you could maybe use the gift card next time you’re in Ohio…. ha

Favorite? Probably Low-Fat Black Bean Soup and/or the Bagel with Hummus and Veggies…yumm!!!
I like turkey wraps made with whole grain tortillas, or a PB & J on good bread (like Panera’s Country White). A toasted bagel with cream cheese or peanut butter.

I love Panera! Otherwise known, for those of us who live in the St. Louis area, as Bread Co. :) I am especially fond of their Fuji Apple Chicken salad. I also don’t eat a lot of bread, but their tomato basil bread is delish. I sometimes request that with the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich.
1. My favorite healthy go-to meals are: kale salad w/grated carrot, cucumbers, shredded rotisserie chicken, feta, tomatoes, lemon and olive oil; egg white omelet w/sundried tomatoes (not packed in oil), green onions, chia seeds, spinach and coconut oil; and peanut butter oatmeal (w/pb2) w/cinnamon, walnuts, flaxseed and blueberries.
